Dr. Panos Afouxenides, DDS, MSc, MS

After finishing Dental School from his hometown Athens, Greece, Dr. Panos worked in Private Practice, and the Department of Periodontics of the General Military Hospital. He was later awarded a Master’s degree in Research Methodology before starting his residency in Periodontics and his second Master’s in Oral Biology at Texas A&M, College of Dentistry. 

A strong believer in the importance of evidence-based dentistry, and directly answering clinical questions, Dr. Panos has been part of multiple lab-based, and clinical research projects, involving and mentoring others along the way. He has authored and edited textbooks, and has won multiple awards, scholarships, and competitions. Dr. Panos has significant experience as a clinical supervisor, lecturer, and lab instructor to dental students, and residents. Throughout his career, he has been invited by multiple organizations, and schools to lecture and provide hands-on workshops for other dentists.

In his free time, Dr. Panos enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and friends, and watching movies.
